A long, horizontal line: elegant, blue, beautiful. This is the vision proposed by Antonio Rovaldi in his book Orizzonte in Italia. Inside there are hundreds of pictures taken by the artist on his journey by bicycle along the perimeter of the Italian peninsula. Almost three months spent in search of the “chromatic stave of seas and skies” that contains the beauty of the cosmos. Italy here is only evoked by Rovaldi’s gaze, as he moves away from land to isolate a portion of aquatic space. The photographic account, accompanied by theoretical musings, takes the reader on a contemporary grand tour illuminated by the dimension of wonder. Published by Humboldt Books.
