Energy. Oil and Post-Oil Architecture and Grids is an exhibition curated by Pippo Ciorra which will be open at the MAXXI in Rome from today until September 29, 2013. A useful and interesting investigation of the relationship between built-up area and the energy supplied by oil that sets out to imagine a different future for our civilization. The exhibition comprises 80 drawings and designs, a photographic section with pictures by Paolo Pellegrin, Alessandro Cimmino and Paola Di Bello and a multimedia section in which a future without oil is examined. Just one piece of advice: if we’re talking about energy and wondering how to save the planet, it might be an idea to avoid printing catalogues with 200 pages.
