To make the best use of the steep gradient typical of the hills of Los Angeles, the Anonymous Architects studio has designed a house set in the hillside at Echo Park. Access is from the roof, which is connected to the road by a bridge and also serves as a car park. The living quarters are located on the floor below, under the level of the road, and are illuminated and ventilated by windows and skylights. A beautiful structure that achieves the dual goal of saving the volume needed for a garage and using the roof as a terrace (open and covered).
