Designed by Nicolás del Rio and Max Núñez, Chalet C7 is located in the Andes, at an altitude of 2900 meters, near Mount Aconcagua. In order to interfere as little as possible with the landscape, the architects have chosen to exploit the difference in level in the rocks of the mountain and have used the surrounding stone for the construction. The result is a house on two levels, with a day zone on the ground floor that offers a spectacular view of Laguna del Inca, and a night zone on the floor below, cut into the mountainside. The open structure of beams on the ceiling underlines at once the statics of the building and its character as a mountain chalet. Have you already reserved your winter vacation? (via ArchDaily)
