Nendo (Oki Sato) is undoubtedly one of the most prolific designers around. Together with his creative studio, he is able to churn out a large number of designs a year, ranging from furniture to industrial products and passing through interior design. The Japanese designer has recently signed the new collection of Fabbrica Pelletterie Milano, an Italian brand of leather goods, bags and travel accessories. Kame, the Japanese word for turtle, is a collection of suitcases whose distinctive feature is the shell, which is a deliberate allusion to the animal’s carapace: a structure made of polycarbonate and fabric. Flexible, tough and above all extremely light, Kame can be opened from the top or the side thanks to its shape, which makes it easy to take things in or out even when it is in an upright position. Inside it has two mesh pockets that allow the contents to be organized in a rational way, while it is fitted with a zip with ring pulls, two wheels for transport and a lock with a pullout 50-centimeter cable that can be used to anchor it to a post or handrail and a number dial that has smileys instead of the classic zeroes. The series is currently available only in the cabin case size of 55 centimeters, in the colors Shiro White, Eclipse Blue, Wasabi Green and Sun Orange.
