Friends in Space, Accurat
Samantha Cristoforetti

23 December 2014

There are no limits for the Accurat studio. Their latest project, Friends in Space, has even left the planet, realizing a utopian idea: that of bringing humanity closer to the stars through technology. Over the coming months, Friends in Space will follow the work of the Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti on board the International Space Station (ISS). The social network is constructed around three axes in time. In the present, users can follow the trajectory of the ISS in real time, send a greeting to Samantha and interact with other users online. The future one shows the program planned for the following weeks, while that of the past offers a historian with technical data and photographs from the archives. But what makes the project really special is the possibility of discovering what life is like on what has been dubbed Missione Futura in Italy: scientific experiments, cleaning activities, space walks, rest periods. An extraordinary way to feel part of the crew and experience the great allure of space with them.
