It’s the first haute-horlogerie watch to be made out of Fairmined gold: a Fairtrade product from Colombia mined in a way that conforms to the strict requirements from the ethical, social and environmental viewpoint laid down by the philanthropic project “The Journey to Sustainable Luxury,” promoted by Chopard in collaboration with Eco-Age. The L.U.C Tourbillon Qualité Fleurier Fairmined uses it for all the components of the 43-mm-diameter case: from the polished bezel to the satin-brushed case middle, from the crown engraved with the logo to the back through which the movement is visible (not to mention the prong of the strap buckle). From the mechanical point of view, it is powered by a hand-wound caliber, obviously made by Chopard, with a tourbillon, 9 days of reserve, official chronometer certification (COSC) and Fleurier Quality seal. To underline the exclusive nature of the watch, it has been produced in a limited edition of just 25 pieces.
