PHILIP-LORCA DICORCIA
Philip-Lorca diCorcia, one of America’s most important and influential contemporary photographers, opens his first UK major survey at The Hepworth Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England. Philip-Lorca diCorcia Photographs: 1975 – 2012 opens on Friday 14 February until Sunday 1 June 2014.
The exhibition presents work from four decades of diCorcia’s career. Male prostitutes, unsuspecting passers-by, pole-dancers and diCorcia’s own family members feature among the 124 photographs on display. This is the first photography exhibition and the largest solo show since The Hepworth Wakefield opened in May 2011.
