MO-TO

23 September 2013

At the risk of appearing nostalgic, and it may even be true, we sometimes feel the lack of the toys of the good old days. Evidently we are not the only ones, seeing that the MO-TO project has drummed up over 100 thousand dollars on Kickstarter, exceeding the request and the rosiest expectations. Vlad Dragusin, a designer from Brooklyn, was fed up with the kind of plastic toy that is all too readily thrown away, producing tons of garbage. So he made a leap into the past and thought of the model American cars of his childhood. Out of this came the MO-TO project, developed by his studio, Candylab Toys: a series of wooden automobiles, of vintage appearance, halfway between the toy and the collectable. The fundraising drive on Kickstarter is finished. For more information you can contact the studio.

For her it’s enough not to have to go to the same office everyday. She mixes with unlikely people, and contributes to Klat for this very reason.
