Handle Bag

In the past couple of months, I have been quite silent, at least on Klat blog, as I have been rather busy in other worlds. Also, the blogosphere is already so overcrowded that I restrain myself from adding any information unless I believe it adds something more to the already saturated on-line chattering.

I also restrain myself for ethical reasons. I know it sounds like a very convenient excuse, but there is an actual physical cost to every action on the computer and every input
to the virtual world. It takes precious resources and energy to be processed. One blog post is estimated at around 850 grams of CO2 emissions which is equivalent to driving 7.6 kilometers on a hybrid car.

You can
consult some articles on the subject, if you have any doubts:

Having made that statement, I will take the time to share one of my recent activities. I have been making and testing some working prototypes of the Handle Bag in order to distribute it.

Although the design works very well visually, I have encountered many little details that make the object less
user-friendly. My aim is to make the bag as effortless and intuitive to use as possible. It should become second nature to the wearer. For now, the major alterations will be on the handle and on the mechanism of the opening to make it truly comfortable. Also the interior will be improved by adding an easy access pocket for the smaller items.

I believe that there
are enough fashion products on the shelves that have a lot of style, but very little function, becoming quickly obsolete and discarded. For that reason, it will take slightly longer for the Handle Bag to be ready for sale but when it is, it will be worthwhile.
