Essenziale: Flotane è un bagno pubblico situato ad Aurlandsfjellet, in Norvegia, una zona di montagna deserta. Bello: è rivestito su tre lati da pareti di cemento che si integrano perfettamente nel paesaggio e lo proteggono dalle intemperie. Intelligente: la parete che ospita l’ingresso è esposta a sud ed è rivestita da celle solari che rendono la toilette autosufficiente dal punto di vista energetico. Essential: Flotane is a public bathroom located in Aurlandsfjellet, a desolate mountain area in Norway. Beautiful: it is faced on three sides with concrete walls that blend perfectly into the landscape and protect it from the weather. Intelligent: the wall that houses the entrance faces south and has a window into which solar cells are integrated, making the toilet self-sufficient in energy. The architects at LJB who designed it have also laid out a large parking area that makes the transition from the construction to the surrounding and almost unspoiled nature. (via Archdaily)
