One Laptop per Child, il progetto di Nicholas Negroponte che mira a portare un laptop low cost e intuitivo a milioni di bambini nel mondo, si è evoluto: ora tocca al tablet. XO-3 Tablet, disegnato da Fuseproject, come il precedente XO Laptop ha un rivestimento extra di protezione in gomma antigraffio, diviso in due: parte superiore e parte inferiore, per preservare il tablet durante il trasporto. Porte e tasti sono accessibili anche senza rimuovere la copertura in gomma. La cover può contenere anche un pannello solare, in aggiunta alla batteria, per ricaricare il tablet usando la luce del sole. (via Dezeen)

One Laptop per Child, Nicholas Negroponte’s project to provide millions of children in the world with a low-cost laptop with intuitive features has been taken a step further: now it’s the turn of the tablet. XO-3 Tablet, designed by Fuseproject, like the earlier XO Laptop, has an extra covering made of anti-scratch rubber, split in two: an upper part and a lower part, to protect the tablet during transport. Ports and buttons are accessible even without removing the rubber cover. This can also house a solar panel that, in combination with the battery, can be used to recharge the tablet by the light of the sun. (via Dezeen)
