No? (via Design Milk)

The idea is not bad: a hanging lamp that resembles a cloud, made of polyester wadding, that models itself into different shapes so that each is unique. Le Nuage by Wout Wessemius, thanks to a plastic shell that diffuses the light of an energy-efficient bulb, creates the impression that the sun is shining through the clouds. Pity that a very similar idea occurred recently to Frank Gehry (Cloud, Belux, 2005) and Denis Santachiara (Nuvola, 2008). So it’s hard to see where the real originality of Wessemius’s idea lies, for if one thing springs from another, then you’d expect that there would be an evolution. Wouldn’t you? (via Design Milk)
