Nato in Cecoslovacchia, vive nei Paesi Bassi. Si occupa di editoria, grafica, e progettazione di font e insegna part-time alla Royal Academy dell’Aia. Ha fondato Typotheque nel 1999, Dot Dot Dot nel 2000 e l’Indian Type Foundry nel 2009.
