Peter Eisenman (Klat #04)


Nel 1999 lo studio di Peter Eisenman ha vinto il concorso per la progettazione della Città della Cultura della Galizia. Il progetto, molto discusso, ha subìto ritardi a causa di complessità tecniche, sforamenti di budget e cambi di governo. I primi due edifici – una biblioteca e un archivio – sono stati ultimati e saranno aperti al pubblico il prossimo gennaio. Le altre strutture saranno inaugurate successivamente.

Peter Eisenman Architects won the competition to build the City of Culture of Galicia in 1999. The controversial project has encountered delays due to technological complexities, cost overruns and changes of government. The first two buildings, a library and an archive, have been completed and will be opened to the public next January. The rest of the buildings will follow at a later date.
